Tel Aviv · City guide
Between the center and the Yarkon Park, the Old North is where many Tel Aviv families live: wide boulevards, shady streets, the beach and the port nearby.

The Old North stretches from the city center up to the Yarkon River, between the sea and Ibn Gabirol Street. Its landmarks are Rabin Square, the tree-lined Ben-Gurion Boulevard and the beaches along the promenade.
To the north lie the Tel Aviv Port and the Yarkon Park, the city's largest park.
Most homes are apartments in three- to four-storey buildings, many from the 1930s to the 1960s, with a growing number of renovated and new buildings. The streets are quieter than in the south of the city, there are many playgrounds and schools, and you can reach the beach and the park on foot.
The Old North suits families and buyers who want a calmer everyday life without leaving the city: park, beach, schools and cafés within walking distance. If you want nightlife on your doorstep, look further south.
